Laser Settings for Marble

Can you laser engrave marble?

Yes — polished marble engraves light-on-dark much like slate, giving elegant results for coasters, plaques and keepsakes. Even a modest diode handles it; CO2 is faster. Bold designs read far better than fine detail on stone.

Polished stone gives the best contrast. Focus on the engraving area, and lift contrast further with a paint or oil fill wiped into the mark.

⚠ SafetyFine mineral dust — extraction on, wipe the bed down after.
